Toxic Coach
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the Toxic Coach app and the toxiccoach.com website. By using them, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Toxic Coach.
1. Who we are
Toxic Coach is operated by Sebastian Rodriguez, Uruguay. Contact: support@toxiccoach.com.
2. What Toxic Coach is (and isn't)
- An alarm and habit tracker with comedic characters that remind you, nag you and roast you when you skip what you committed to. The roasts are pre-written comedy lines read by AI voices. It's entertainment with a motivational purpose.
- It isn't medical, psychological, nutritional or fitness advice. Talk to a professional before starting a new exercise or health routine.
- Alarms depend on your device. Operating systems limit what an alarm can do (on iPhone, any physical button can stop a ringing alarm; on some Android phones, battery savers can delay it). We work hard to make it reliable, but please don't rely on Toxic Coach as your only alarm for anything critical, like medication, a flight or an exam.
3. Who can use it
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you.
- Uncensored mode, which plays the swear words that are otherwise bleeped, is only for adults aged 18 or older.
4. The roasts, and how to dial them down
- The coaches roast excuses, never people: no jokes about bodies, appearance, identity, health or anything you can't change. Being sick is never roasted.
- You choose the intensity: Mild, Spicy or Savage (swear words bleeped).
- Mercy mode pauses every roast for 24 hours, and you can lower the intensity or turn off reminders at any time.
- If a line misses the mark, tell us at support@toxiccoach.com and we'll review it.
If the app ever stops being funny and starts making you feel worse, take a break and turn on Mercy mode. If you're going through a hard time, please talk to someone:

5. Free, Pro and payments
- Toxic Coach is free to download. Pro unlocks extra coaches, features and content, as described in the app.
- Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play as an auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The store shows the price, in your currency and including applicable taxes, before you buy.
- Payment and renewal: payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials: if a plan includes a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: Apple and Google process every payment, so refunds are requested from them and follow their policies. We can't issue refunds ourselves. This doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer law. See Support for the links.
- Lifetime: a lifetime purchase unlocks Pro for as long as we offer the app on your platform.
- Price changes: we may change prices. Subscription price changes follow the store's rules, and you'll be told before they apply to you.
- Promotional Pro (for example, a free month for inviting a friend) is time-limited and has no cash value.
6. Roast-a-friend links and friend features
These features involve other people, so they come with extra rules.
- Roast-a-friend links contain only pre-approved Mild or Spicy lines and, optionally, first names. Send them only to people you know who will take them as a joke. Links expire after 7 days.
- Friend-recorded roasts (coming later): a friend can record a roast for you only after you invite them. They accept these terms before recording, and you listen to and approve every recording before it can play. You can delete, report or block at any time.
- Never use Toxic Coach to bully, harass, threaten or humiliate anyone. Don't use names or recordings to insult someone, don't target people who didn't sign up for it, and don't record anything hateful, sexual, violent or threatening, anything that reveals someone's private information, anything involving minors inappropriately, or anything you don't have the right to share.
- Reports and removal: every roast page has a “Report this link” option, and you can report recordings in the app or at support@toxiccoach.com. We review reports promptly and can remove content, disable links, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice when necessary.
- Your content: you keep the rights to the names and recordings you create. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and deliver them only to run these features (for example, delivering a recording to the friend it was made for). The license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep to handle a report or to comply with the law.
7. AI-generated voices
Every coach voice is generated with AI and belongs to a fictional character. The voices don't imitate any real person, and the app labels them as AI-generated.
8. Our stuff
The app, the website, the characters (Toxi, Sarge, Mom, La Abuela, The Ex, Tu Ex and the rest of the gang), their lines, voices and art, and the Toxic Coach name and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes. Sharing roast cards and clips from the app on social media is welcome; using our characters, voices or content for commercial purposes, in ads or to train AI models is not, unless we agree in writing.
9. Things you can't do
- Copy, modify, sell or redistribute the app or its content.
- Reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
- Break or bypass its security, its purchases or its limits, or scrape the website or the line bank.
- Create links or accounts with bots or other automated means.
- Use Toxic Coach in a way that breaks the law or someone else's rights, or impersonate anyone.
10. No guarantees
Toxic Coach is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will make you more productive (that part is on you). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived under the law of the country where you live.
11. Liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for missed alarms, appointments, flights, exams or workouts, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Toxic Coach in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 50 if you didn't pay anything). This doesn't exclude liability that the law doesn't allow to be excluded, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
12. Ending things
You can stop using Toxic Coach at any time and delete your data from the app. We can suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. If we ever discontinue Toxic Coach, we'll give you reasonable notice. Sections 8, 10, 11 and 13 survive the end of this agreement.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay, and disputes will be settled by the courts of Montevideo, Uruguay. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and can bring a claim before its courts. Before going to court, please write to us at support@toxiccoach.com: most problems are solved by talking.
14. App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent allowed by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple isn't responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you aren't located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and aren't on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Toxic Coach afterwards, you accept the new terms.
